You can make a short visit to bourse de commerce worthwhile, but only if you stop trying to see everything. For one to two hours, choose a small number of works or one part of the collection, walk directly between them, and leave time for the entrance, security and finding your way out.

  • Pick 3–5 priorities before entering.
  • Start with the work or gallery that matters most to you.
  • Skip any room that requires a large detour.
  • Leave 10–15 minutes to find the exit, toilets or cloakroom.

Two hours changes the visit

With two hours you can add a second section and spend more time looking instead of only moving. It is still better to see fewer rooms properly than to walk past hundreds of objects because a checklist says they are famous.

What to skip

Skip long detours, temporary exhibitions you did not plan to see, and any “must-see” work that you personally do not care about. A short museum visit succeeds when you leave satisfied, not when you cover the largest floor area.
